Still Held by the Earth

A Quiet Return to the Feeling of Being Held

Step back into the Garden for a moment.

You do not need to arrive in any special way. Let your shoulders soften. Let your breath find its own rhythm.

Even now, even here, the Earth is holding you without effort. You are still held by the Earth, whether you notice it or not.

This is not a practice to complete, but a pause to remember. A quiet moment to notice what has been steady beneath you all along.

What the Earth Continues to Offer

As the month continues, you may find that the feeling of being held comes and goes. Some days it feels clear and comforting.

Other days it fades into the background, covered by busyness, emotion, or fatigue.

The Earth does not withdraw during those moments.

Gaia’s presence is not dependent on your awareness of it. She does not require attention to continue offering support.

The ground beneath you remains steady when you notice it and when you do not, when you feel connected or distracted, when you are calm or overwhelmed.

This is part of what it means to belong. Support does not disappear when you forget to look for it.

A Small Moment of Grounded Presence

If it feels comfortable, take a moment now to notice where your body is resting.

Feel the contact beneath you.

A chair, the floor, the bed, the Earth beneath it all.

There is nothing you need to send downward. Nothing to anchor or imagine.

Simply allow the weight of your body to be received.

Take one slow breath in.

And as you breathe out, see if something softens on its own.

Let the ground do what it has always done.

Soft sand with grasses resting on the surface, gently held by the Earth.

A Quiet Question for This Moment

As you sit here, you might quietly ask yourself:

Where have I already been supported today, even in small ways?

There is no need to answer with words.

A sensation, an image, or a simple sense of “yes” is enough.

Noticing the Quiet Ways Support Appears

As you move through the rest of the month, notice moments when support shows up without asking.

When you sit down and feel relief.

When your feet meet the floor.

When the Earth holds the weight of trees, buildings, animals, and you, all at once.

Let these moments remind you that being held is not something you fall in and out of. It is something that continues, quietly, whether you remember or not.

A Blessing from the Living Earth

May you remember that even on the days you feel disconnected, the Earth has not let go of you.

May you rest into support without needing to earn it or name it.

And may the quiet steadiness of Gaia walk with you, beneath every step, every pause, every breath.

The Garden remains with you, always.
