Clearing Stagnant Energy

Welcome to June in the Reiki Room

Welcome, dear one.

As we step into June together, we enter a season of clearing, softening, and creating space for fresh energy to flow.

Just as nature sheds what is no longer needed and continues moving through its natural cycles, we are invited to do the same.

This month's theme, Clearing Stagnant Energy Through Gentle Reiki, is not about forcing release or fixing ourselves.

It is about listening to the quiet wisdom of the body, honoring what feels heavy, and allowing energy to move with greater ease.

Find a comfortable place to settle in, take a slow breath, and allow yourself to receive exactly what you need today.

Opening Grounding Moment

Take a slow breath in and allow your shoulders to soften.

Notice the place where your body meets the chair, the floor, or the earth beneath you.

There is nothing you need to accomplish in this moment.

Simply arrive.

Imagine yourself sitting beside a quiet stream.

The water moves gently around stones and roots, finding its way without struggle.

Your energy was designed to move in much the same way.

As you breathe, allow yourself to become present to the natural flow that already exists within you.

Understanding How Stagnant Energy Settles in the Body

When we move through stressful seasons, difficult emotions, or long periods of responsibility, our energy can begin to feel heavy or stuck.

You might notice this as tension in your shoulders, tightness in your chest, mental fog, fatigue, or a feeling that you are carrying more than belongs to you.

Stagnant energy is not a sign that something is wrong.

It is often an invitation from the body to pause, listen, and create space for movement once again.

Reiki offers a gentle way to support this process.

Rather than forcing change, Reiki encourages relaxation, allowing energy to flow where it is needed most.

As the body softens, what has felt stuck can begin to shift naturally.

A Gentle Reiki Visualization for Clearing Stagnant Energy

Place one hand over your heart and the other over your solar plexus, just above your navel.

Take a slow breath in.

Now imagine a soft golden light entering through the crown of your head.

This light feels warm, peaceful, and steady.

With each breath, allow the light to move slowly downward through your body.

Notice it flowing through your forehead, your throat, your chest, and your belly.

As the light moves, imagine it gently washing through any places that feel heavy, tired, or stagnant.

There is no need to identify or analyze these areas.

Simply allow the light to flow where it is welcomed.

With every exhale, picture old heaviness drifting away like leaves floating downstream.

With every inhale, imagine fresh, clear energy entering the spaces that have opened.

Remain here for a few breaths, allowing the light to continue its quiet work.

Trust that your body knows how to receive exactly what it needs.

Reiki Hand Positions for Encouraging Energy Flow

For this month's practice, try placing your hands in either of these positions:

Heart and Solar Plexus

Supports emotional release, self-compassion, and energetic flow.

Heart and Lower Belly

Encourages grounding, stability, and a sense of safety as stagnant energy begins to move.

Stay with whichever position feels most supportive for several slow breaths.

Reflection for Your Energy Journey

As you sat with this practice, what part of you seemed most ready to soften or let go?

Before You Return to Your Day

Imagine a gentle cocoon of golden light surrounding your body.

Feel yourself supported by the earth beneath you and held within the natural rhythms of life.

May anything that feels heavy continue to soften in its own perfect timing.

May fresh energy flow where it is needed.

May you move through this month with greater ease, clarity, and trust in your body's wisdom.

Take one final breath and carry this gentle sense of renewal with you into the rest of your day.
